Greasy Pole (Palo della Cuccagna) in Castelletto

This year, 2026, the Cuccagna sul lago returns once again. It is a traditional folk game in which participants must try to grab a small flag placed at the end of a pole set perpendicular to the water. The pole is usually coated with grease or another substance that makes it difficult for competitors to cross. The appointment is at the harbour of Castelletto at 21.00, but beforehand, from 18.00, the stands will open with street food and registration for the cuccagna. At 23:00 there will be a screening on the giant screen of the third/fourth-place match of the 2026 World Cup and a DJ set in Piazza MMD Mantovani.
