The symbol of Manerba is the Rocca: a limestone promontory rising sheer above the lake, today a nature reserve. From the summit — where traces remain of a medieval castle and, before that, a prehistoric settlement — you can see the whole of the lower Garda: Sirmione, the Isola del Garda, the hills of the Valtenesi.

Below the Rocca opens the Baia della Valletta, a pebble beach enclosed among the rocks, with crystal-clear water and no concrete in sight. It is one of the few stretches of the lake to have remained truly wild.

In the hinterland, the olive groves and vineyards of the Valtenesi, and the archaeological museum that gathers the finds unearthed on the Rocca: it takes you back as far as the Neolithic.
