On Friday 21 August, at 5.00 pm, an elegant concert featuring the gong and other instruments will take place on Acquafresca beach. Gongs are a class of musical instruments, among the directly struck idiophones, defined as vessels played with a non-sonorous object, in which the vibration is strongest near the centre. A gong usually consists of a large metal disc, generally circular in shape.
