The European capital of climbing

Climbing

Arco and the Alto Garda form one of the most famous climbing regions in the world: hundreds of crags.

All year round

From beginner courses to high grades

Just over half an hour from here is Arco, which for climbers is what Torbole is for windsurfers: a capital. Hundreds of equipped crags on compact limestone, from easy grades to extreme, and a climate that allows climbing practically all year round.

There are sectors suited to beginners, with well-protected routes and short approaches, and the mountain guides organise one-day introductory courses. Those with experience will find plenty to sink their teeth into on historic crags and long multi-pitch routes.
