The latest of the wind sports: a wing in hand, a foil board underfoot, and you soar above the water.
Wing foiling has conquered Lake Garda in just a few years. You hold an inflatable wing in your hands, stand on a board with a foil beneath it, and when it picks up speed the board lifts out of the water: you fly a few centimetres above the surface, in absolute silence.
It is technically more accessible than the kite (there are no lines, you simply let go of the wing and that's that) and it works even in light wind, so it extends the usable windows of the day. Every school on the Upper Garda now teaches it, with two- or three-day courses to reach your first planing runs.
The foil lifts even in light breezes: you head out when the other sports come to a standstill.
No lines, no sudden pull: if you get it wrong, you let go of the wing and that's that.
With two or three days of lessons you reach your first flights.
It's the wind sport with the gentlest learning curve: if you've always wanted to try and never dared, start here.
Trusted schools, rentals and guides: we'll book everything for you — all you have to do is show up.
